This summer I have been so lucky with my photo projects. They have been some of my most rewarding collaborations yet. I just updated my photo portfolio to share some of these new projects. Have a look! And I wanted to share some of that work on this site as well.
The first two images are from an amazing summer campaign that I shot with California Olive Ranch. They are a wonderful group of people and their olive oil is amazing! It is so rewarding to work with people whose product and mission I stand behind.
In late June I returned to Cordova, Alaska to work on a dream project with Nelly and Michael Hand, the husband and wife duo behind Drifters Fish. Nelly and I shared an intuitive vision for the visual aesthetic, and they were so easy and fun and inspiring to be around. We’ll be sharing more recipes and images next week!
In February, I collaborated with Britt Gerhard on a delightful weekend of flowers (with Studio Choo!) and her beautiful vases in Bolinas. We teamed up again in August for a more intimate session documenting her process in the studio. It was such a delight to witness her at work. I am totally mesmerized by craft and work made with hands. Her vases are gorgeous!
Throughout this year I have been shooting lots of restaurants for San Francisco Magazine, culminating in a blowout in August for their Best New Restaurants feature. I have loved the gentle and unexpected ways that I have been guided by director of photography Nadia LaChance – she pushes me to explore outside of my comfort zone and to follow her creative vision and it has always resulted in work that I am really proud of. It’s been really rewarding to meet the people who are the backbone of San Francisco’s restaurants.
